Hello, PixelHost Community! 🌟

Today, we're going to talk about something we all love in Minecraft: doors! 🔑 Whether it's for protecting your base from those pesky Creepers or simply adding an epic touch to your build, doors are essential. But what if I told you that you could create larger, better-animated doors without breaking your head over redstone? That's where Big Doors comes in, an incredible plugin that allows you to design huge and spectacular doors on your Minecraft server. 🚪✨

Downloading Big Doors

  1. Visit the Big Doors page on Spigot.

  2. Click the blue "Download Now" button in the upper right corner.

  3. Save the file in a safe place; you'll need it shortly.

⚠️ Common Issue ⚠️: I can't find the downloaded file 😖 If you downloaded the file but can't find it, check your Downloads folder or search your computer for the .jar file extension. If you're still having trouble, try downloading it again.

Installing on Your Server

  1. Navigate to the PixelHost panel page and stop your server.

  2. Ensure your server is running a compatible version such as PaperMC or Spigot.

  3. Go to "Files" and upload the .jar file to the plugins folder.

  4. Restart the server.

⚠️ Common Issue ⚠️: The plugin isn't loading 😩 If Big Doors doesn't appear in the plugin list after restarting the server, make sure you uploaded the .jar file to the correct folder. Also, verify that your server is running a Minecraft version compatible with plugins.

Time to Create Epic Doors! 🚪🔥

Big Doors Resource Pack

When you enter your server, you might be prompted to download a resource pack. Don't hesitate—say yes! This will make the doors look and function spectacularly.

Creating a New Door 🚪

  1. Use the command /bdm to open the Big Doors menu.

  2. Start with "New Door."

  3. Name your door with /namedoor [Name].

  4. Select the outer corners with the tool provided by the plugin.

  5. Open and close your door with /opendoor [Name] and /closedoor [Name].

⚠️ Common Issue ⚠️: I can't select the hinge 😬 If you're having trouble selecting the hinge, make sure you're selecting the outer corners in the correct order. Remember, the hinge determines which direction the door will open.

Available Door Types

  • Normal Door: Ideal for castles 🏰.

  • Sliding Door: Perfect for futuristic bases 🛸.

  • Drawbridge: Great for castle moats or canals 🌉.

  • Iron Gate: Add a medieval touch or create clever traps ⚔️.

GUI Menu and Essential Commands

Explore the /bdm menu to adjust and customize your doors. Want to set an automatic close timer or add another owner? Anything is possible!

Notable Commands:

/pausedoors: Pauses all doors. /stopdoors: Stops doors in motion. /unlockdoor [Name]: Unlocks a specific door.

⚠️ Common Issue ⚠️: My commands aren't working! 😤 If the commands aren't recognized, check that Big Doors is installed correctly using /plugins. If it doesn't appear, review the installation steps and ensure you're using a compatible version.
